ADR: Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Road

Hazardous goods as defined within ADR - European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous goods by Road. At P&M we already offer within our portfolio a service for the packing and transportation of Hazardous Goods. However we can now extend that to a transportation only offer where we can collect your pre packed items for onward transportation to anywhere within the UK mainland.


All of our Vehicles are ADR compliant and can be configured to carry large palletized items or the smallest bottles and containers within a dedicated transportation case. Additionally our drivers are ADR aware certified so you can be sure your goods are in the safest hands.

The regulations for such transportation are very strict but listed below is a brief guide to what we are able to offer;

Limited Quantities

These are hazardous materials which are usually contained within small to medium size containers. Depending on the quantity they can be shipped within our dedicated transportation case or alternatively providing they are packed up to a maximum of 30kg per outer can be palletized up to a gross weight of 900KG depending on the vehicle requested.

Goods Not Packed in Limited Quantities

These materials (e.g. 25kg tins of paint for example) can be transported up to the following quantities as defined by their Packing Group within the ADR Regulations.

  • PG I: 20 ltr/kg max
  • PG II: 333 ltr/kg max
  • PG III: 900 ltr/kg max
