Dangerous Goods Classes:

Class 2: Gases

Gases that are compressed, liquefied or dissolved under pressure, including flammable gases (acetylene, hydrogen), non-flammable gases (nitrogen, neon) and poisonous gases (fluorine, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide.)

Class 3: Flammable Liquids

Flammable liquids, combustible liquids, fuel oil or gasoline/petrol.

Class 4: Flammable Solids

Solid substances that are easily ignited and readily combustible, or are spontaneously combustible or are dangerous when wet.

Class 5: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides

Oxidising agents or organic peroxides, either in liquid or in solid form.

Class 6: Toxic and infectious

Toxic substances that are liable to cause death or serious injury to human health if inhaled, swallowed or through skin absorption, or bio-hazardous substances, either infectious or samples.

Class 8: Corrosives

Corrosive substances are substances that can dissolve organic tissue or severely corrode certain metals.

Class 9: Miscellaneous

Hazardous substances that do not fall into the other categories (asbestos, air-bag inflators, self-inflating life rafts, dry ice.)
